Nollywood star Regina Daniels has spoken publicly about the ongoing insults and online attacks directed at her mother, Rita Daniels, following the controversies surrounding her marriage and current family issues.

In a video posted on Instagram, the actress expressed how painful it has been to watch her mother get dragged into a situation she never caused. Regina made it clear that the decisions she made at a young age, including who she married, were hers alone.

According to Regina, her mother actually opposed her plans, along with other family members, but she refused to listen because she believed she knew what she wanted at the time. She revealed that she was so determined that she even went to the police to report her relatives when they tried to stop the union.

In her words: “Please, I am begging everyone, stop insulting my mother. Na me carry my two legs enter. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me… she warned me, my brothers warned me.” Regina admitted she was deeply in love then and ignored every caution.

The actress said she understands that fame brings public scrutiny, but she drew the line at dragging innocent family members into online bullying. She added that her family is currently dealing with emotional distress, including the disappearance of her brother, making the attacks even more painful.

Regina Daniels pleaded for empathy, insisting that her mother has done nothing wrong and does not deserve to be blamed for decisions she never supported. She asked Nigerians to allow her family some peace during this difficult period.
