The 2026 Grammy nominations have been announced, and Nigerian artists are making waves on the global stage. Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid are among the standout nominees, representing Africa in the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Album categories. The 68th Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 1 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, celebrates music released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025.
Kendrick Lamar leads the overall nominations with nine nods, while Lady Gaga earns seven, including her fifth Album of the Year nomination for Mayhem. Sabrina Carpenter also scores her second consecutive Album of the Year nomination with Man’s Best Friend. Breakout stars like KATSEYE, Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, and Sombr compete for Best New Artist, signaling fresh talent making their mark.
