Terrorists believed to be Boko Haram militants carried out a late-night attack on Pemi village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, setting a church on fire and injuring two residents.
Local resident Zariyi Yusuf described the assault as another violent strike on the Christian community in Chibok, the same region globally known for the 2014 abduction of schoolgirls by Boko Haram. “This is Chibok. On Sunday, Boko Haram destroyed a church, yet it’s barely making the news. Glory to God, no lives were lost,” he wrote.
