Top APC stakeholders in Kano, drawn from all 484 wards and 44 local governments, have formally endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the party’s preferred 2027 presidential candidate, a move party leaders say is aimed at strengthening internal unity and boosting the APC’s national dominance ahead of the next election cycle.

At the meeting, former APC National Chairman Umar Ganduje explained that the gathering was designed to consolidate support for both the party and the federal government under Tinubu’s leadership. He said the last three days had been spent engaging local government chairmen and grassroots leaders on the need to stand firmly behind the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Ganduje noted that stakeholders had agreed to work towards delivering a clean sweep for the APC in Kano by 2027 “from top to bottom” while also securing broad support for Tinubu across the North and the rest of the country. He stressed that party offices must remain active and accessible to encourage new members and welcome decampees.

He added that all APC executives have been directed to publicly declare President Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential choice for 2027.

The meeting also reviewed plans for a digital registration rollout. Ganduje said the party had already secured the necessary computers to commence e-registration, recalling that Kano once produced the highest number of registered APC members, a record he intends to maintain.
