The Chairman of the Delta State Waterways and Land Security Committee, Chief Boro Opudu, has confirmed his attendance as a Guest of Honour at the Ijaw Media Conference 2025.
Opudu, who also serves as the Olotu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, will join other dignitaries at the second edition of the annual event organised by the Ijaw Publishers Forum.
This year’s conference, themed “Safeguarding Niger Delta’s Natural Resources for Future Generations,” aims to deepen conversations around environmental preservation, responsible resource management, and regional advocacy.

Opudu made his commitment known when the Central Working Committee of the Forum, led by Pastor Arex Akemotubo, paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Warri.
Akemotubo said the Forum invited Opudu in recognition of his long-standing experience in security operations and his stature as a custodian of Ijaw cultural values.

The WaffiTV publisher also commended Opudu’s track record in protecting lives and public assets across Delta communities, describing his contribution as vital to the progress and safety of the region.
Responding, Opudu applauded the Ijaw Publishers Forum for its consistency in shaping narratives that reflect the true voice and aspirations of the Ijaw people.
He noted that the theme of the conference aligns with ongoing efforts to safeguard Niger Delta communities and their natural endowments.
Opudu further urged critical stakeholders across the region to lend full support to the Forum’s initiatives, stressing that collective commitment is essential to securing the future of the Niger Delta.
