The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has congratulated High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo, Delta State.

In a statement, the Forum described Tompolo as a visionary leader whose commitment to peace, security and development has left a lasting impact on the Niger Delta region. IPF said the recognition reflects his years of service, leadership and dedication to empowering his people.
“Tompolo has made significant contributions, and his commitment has shown that true influence is earned through consistent action,” the Forum stated. “This honour places him among distinguished individuals whose achievements speak for themselves.”
The group added that the award sends a strong message about the value of investing in people, protecting cultural heritage and standing for justice.
“We believe this honour will further strengthen Tompolo’s voice, broaden his impact and inspire the next generation of Ijaw leaders,” IPF added.
