In a development heightening attention within Nigeria’s security circles, former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa (rtd), paid an unscheduled visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa late Monday evening.
He arrived at the State House at a few minutes past 7pm and was immediately escorted into the President’s office area. As of the time of filing this report, the specific purpose of the meeting had not been officially disclosed.

This is Gen. Musa’s first public engagement with President Tinubu since he left office on October 24, 2025.

The unexpected meeting comes at a time of heightened security concerns across the northern region, following the recent abduction of students in both Kebbi and Niger States, as well as the attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State.
