Renowned historian and Pro-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Professor Siyan Oyeweso, has passed away at the age of 61. His death was confirmed on Tuesday, sending shockwaves through the Nigerian academic community.
Until his demise, Professor Oyeweso served as the Provost of the Post-Graduate College at Osun State University, where he was known for mentoring young academics and strengthening academic research.
