The company announced the dismissal in a statement issued by its Ondo State Operations, noting that internal checks uncovered communications and documents allegedly connecting the former employee to unauthorised dealings that violate the firm’s ethical and operational standards.

According to the statement, the review process revealed WhatsApp conversations, payment receipts and other materials purportedly showing the dismissed staff member discussing interactions with individuals engaged in illegal bunkering and allegedly negotiating bribes. Tantita described the conduct as a direct breach of its core values and established procedures.

“Tantita Security Services Nig. Ltd, Ondo State Operations wishes to formally notify the public that Mr. Owoyele Omotuyi Joseph is no longer in the employment of our organisation.

“His disengagement followed internal findings of alleged misconduct and actions considered to be in violation of the company’s operational and ethical standards,”the statement read.

The firm further stressed that Owoyele no longer represents Tantita in any capacity, warning members of the public, partners and stakeholders to cease all dealings with him under the assumption that he still speaks or acts for the company. Anyone who continues to transact with him, it said, does so “entirely at their own risk.”

Tantita reaffirmed its commitment to strict operational discipline and the protection of Nigeria’s critical oil and gas infrastructure.

It added that appropriate legal or administrative actions would be taken if necessary to safeguard its reputation and ensure accountability within its ranks.

The company assured stakeholders that it remains dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in its operations across the Niger Delta and beyond.
