Newly elected Actors Guild of Nigeria President, Abubakar Yakubu, has been arrested following a fatal auto crash in the Surulere area of Lagos.
Yakubu, who secured the AGN presidency by edging out Rita Daniels in a narrow 116–113 vote count, was involved in an accident on Wednesday that resulted in the death of one person, according to preliminary reports.

He was taken into custody at the Barracks Police Station in Surulere as detectives begin a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
