“I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m sorry. I will never do that again,” he said.
“For now, I am on medication. Once I’m done with my medication, I will be online.”
The incident, which sparked widespread concern, reportedly occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, when Peller was allegedly livestreaming himself while driving recklessly. Police sources said the act endangered other road users and resulted in a serious accident along the Lekki–Epe Expressway.

The controversy followed shortly after his highly publicised breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis, who had earlier confirmed the end of their relationship. She cited Peller’s struggles with emotional control as a major reason for walking away.
Confirming his arrest, the Lagos State Police Command stated that Peller’s behaviour was treated as a deliberate act of self-harm and a threat to public safety. The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
Police authorities disclosed that Peller will be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded.
Reacting to the incident, Lagos Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, issued a stern warning to social media influencers and digital creators, cautioning against promoting reckless or dangerous acts online.
He stressed that fame on social media does not place anyone above the law and that such conduct would attract serious consequences.
