He emphasized that every member of the community has a legitimate right to aspire to leadership roles within the Community Management Committee or the Trust, provided such ambitions are motivated by genuine intentions for community development.

Pirah warned that leadership aspirations should never escalate into violence or attacks on fellow community members.
Highlighting ongoing challenges, particularly in dealings with International Oil Companies (IOCs) over employment and development, Pirah stressed that unity and collective problem-solving are crucial, rather than turning aggression inward, which weakens the community’s collective strength.

He called on the Eghare-Aja, Olaja-Orori, and other leaders within Ugborodo to convene urgently and engage His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, to resolve the issues that triggered the conflict and restore unity and inclusiveness.

Pirah also appealed to security agencies to act decisively by investigating the crisis and ensuring that all perpetrators are held accountable, emphasizing that there must be no sacred cows to deter future incidents.

He concluded by offering prayers for the family of the deceased and called for an immediate cessation of all hostilities in the community.
