The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of Nollywood actress and producer, Allwell Ademola.
Ademola reportedly passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 43.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that she suffered a heart attack at her residence before being rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The news of her passing was confirmed by fellow Nollywood actress, Faithia Williams, who shared a brief but emotional post on her Instagram page to announce the loss.
“Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke,” Williams wrote.

Actor Damola Olatunji also reacted to the news by posting a candlelight image on social media with the caption, “Life is a mirage,” expressing grief over the sudden loss.
Another Nollywood actress, Bidemi Kosoko, shared a visibly emotional message on her Instagram page, expressing disbelief and refusing to accept the news.
“No way. No, no, no. Ko possible ooo. This isn’t true. God forbid, in Jesus’ name. I refuse to accept this one lai lai. Olorun oni je. Just reply to my message, abeg oremi/aunty mi. I will wait patiently for your reply,” she wrote.
Allwell Ademola was known for her roles in Yoruba films and her work as a producer, earning respect within the industry for her talent and dedication.
