A woman identified as Favour Odoba has allegedly killed her husband, Momo Jimoh Jamiu, also known as Abdul-Kadir Nagazi, in Okene, Kogi State, over claims that he recently took another wife.
Sources familiar with the matter said the couple had been married for about nine years without having a child. Trouble reportedly began after the man married another woman who gave birth roughly two months ago.

A relative of the deceased, identified simply as Onono, said Favour invited her husband to spend the night with her shortly after the birth of the child.
“She had been married to him for nine years without a child. After he married another woman who recently gave birth, she asked him to come and spend the night with her. Later, his body was taken to the hospital,” Onono said.
It was gathered that Favour allegedly dumped the lifeless body at a nearby hospital before fleeing the area. Medical personnel reportedly raised suspicion after preliminary examinations suggested possible food poisoning and the use of harmful injections, though the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Command said investigations are ongoing.
“Investigation is ongoing to determine the actual cause of death and the circumstances surrounding it. The woman, said to be the wife of the deceased, is currently on the run. Efforts are being intensified to arrest her to assist the investigation,” police spokesperson CSP William Aya said.
Authorities have urged members of the public with useful information to assist law enforcement agencies.
