The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assured Nigerians of a strong comeback in 2026, as it prepares to contend with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, made the disclosure on Tuesday in an interview with Channels Television.

Ememobong said 2026 will be a “definitional year” for the PDP, promising resolution of pending cases in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court while maintaining focus on national issues.
He added that, despite internal challenges, the party will play its role as a credible opposition by holding the government accountable and addressing matters that affect Nigerians.
“For us, while resolving our internal crises, we are equally committed to discussing issues that matter to Nigerians and bringing credible opposition on board,” Ememobong said.
