President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Nigerian Army, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Police Force to immediately track down and arrest the terrorists responsible for the deadly Niger State attack, insisting that the perpetrators must be brought to justice without delay.
The directive was issued on Sunday following the violent assault on Kasuwan Daji community in Niger State, where several villagers were killed and women and children abducted by armed terrorists.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President confirmed that the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, all Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the DSS have been instructed to act swiftly.
President Tinubu also ordered the urgent rescue of all abducted victims, stressing that the safety of citizens remains a top priority of his administration.
The attackers are believed to be terrorists fleeing intensified military pressure in Sokoto and Zamfara States, following a United States airstrike on Christmas Eve.

Condemning the assault, Tinubu described the attack on Kasuwan Daji as barbaric and unacceptable, while extending condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Niger State.
“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our nation. They must face the full weight of the law. No matter who they are or where they hide, they will be hunted down,” the President said.
He warned that anyone who aids, abets, or shelters terrorists would be treated as an accomplice and prosecuted accordingly.
President Tinubu assured residents that security forces have been directed to intensify operations around vulnerable communities, especially forest areas used as criminal hideouts.
Calling for national unity, the President urged Nigerians to remain calm and avoid divisive rhetoric.
“These are times that demand our humanity. United, we will defeat these criminals, deny them sanctuary, and restore peace to our communities,” he added.
The President reiterated his earlier New Year pledge to strengthen security nationwide, noting that Nigeria continues to work with international partners, including the United States, to curb terrorism.
