For days, Wizkid remained silent despite the growing backlash. However, the award-winning singer eventually broke his silence, addressing the issue directly on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
In a post shared on his Instagram story, Wizkid wrote in Pidgin:
“I big pass your papa!! Wetin you don do? I’m Big Wiz everyday.”
He later followed up with a more detailed reaction on X, where he appeared to dismiss the criticism while taking a swipe at Seun Kuti’s focus. Wizkid wrote:
“Ok everybody better pass Wizkid! Can we all sleep now? Fela fight for freedom, this fool dey fight FC! Oloshi Omo ale!”
The posts quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from fans of both artistes. While Wizkid’s supporters praised him for finally responding, others called for calm, urging both musicians to focus on their careers rather than online disputes.
As of now, Seun Kuti has yet to publicly respond to Wizkid’s remarks.
