The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning to governors in 10 Nigerian states, alerting them to looming bandit attacks and alleged plans to disrupt state governments if urgent security measures are not taken.

According to the cleric, armed groups operating mainly in the northern part of the country are allegedly planning coordinated attacks aimed at destabilising state structures.

He claimed the plans include shutting down government offices and attempting to remove traditional rulers from their positions.

“Governors in the northern part must increase their security so that terrorists will not attempt a coup to remove a governor or shut down government offices,” Ayodele warned.

He further alleged that the groups involved have both local and international backing, urging authorities not to treat the matter lightly.

“They have local and international backup, and this must not be taken lightly. We must navigate solutions spiritually and technologically because this will provoke America,” he said.

Speaking further, the cleric warned that the next three months could be critical, revealing that bandits are allegedly planning large-scale attacks across several states.

“Bandits are planning serious attacks in Borno, Bauchi, Katsina, Niger, Adamawa, Zamfara, Ondo, Edo, Kaduna, and Taraba states,” Ayodele stated.

He called on security agencies and state governments to strengthen military formations and intelligence gathering to prevent a breakdown of law and order.

Nigeria has continued to battle insecurity in recent years, particularly in the North-West and North-Central regions, where banditry and violent attacks have claimed thousands of lives and displaced many communities.
