- Labour unions say all complaints were resolved
- No worker will face punishment over the strike
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have directed all workers under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to resume work with immediate effect following a high-level meeting with FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
The directive came after an overnight meeting involving labour leaders, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and members of the Senate Committee on the FCT. The meeting started late Monday night and ended in the early hours of Tuesday.

In a joint statement issued after the talks, the NLC and TUC said all issues raised by the Joint Union Action Congress (JUAC) were fully addressed.
According to the unions, both sides agreed that all cases currently before the National Industrial Court (NIC) in relation to the dispute would be withdrawn immediately.
“The honourable Minister assured organised labour of mutual respect and sustained engagement going forward,” the statement said.
Labour leaders also confirmed that workers would not suffer any form of punishment for participating in the strike.
“It was agreed that, arising from the strike action, no worker shall be victimised in any manner,” the statement added.
The unions said the resolution paved the way for workers’ immediate return to their duty posts across the Federal Capital Territory.
