Condemning the assault, Tinubu described the attack as cowardly and inhumane, accusing the perpetrators of targeting unarmed villagers in an attempt to spread fear through indiscriminate violence.

He stressed that the Federal Government will not allow any part of Nigeria to become a safe haven for terrorism or intimidation.

The President expressed particular outrage over reports that the attackers targeted residents who resisted forced indoctrination, noting that the community chose peaceful religious practice over extremist ideology.

“It is commendable that the people stood firm in their convictions and rejected doctrines that glorify violence over dialogue and coexistence,” Tinubu said.

He added that Nigeria’s diverse faiths and cultures must never be exploited by violent groups seeking to impose fear or division.

Tinubu directed federal security agencies, the Kwara State Government, and local authorities to work closely together to provide immediate relief to affected families, strengthen intelligence gathering, and ensure that those responsible are swiftly apprehended and prosecuted.

He also instructed relevant humanitarian agencies to support survivors and assist the community in rebuilding destroyed homes and livelihoods.

The President offered prayers for those who lost their lives and extended condolences to bereaved families, as well as to the government and people of Kwara State, assuring them of the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting lives and property nationwide.
