In the video, Barack and Michelle Obama appeared briefly toward the end as animated monkey figures dancing to the song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”
The song is widely associated with Disney’s The Lion King and is famously performed by the animated characters Timon and Pumbaa, a meerkat and a warthog.
The video triggered swift backlash on social media, with users describing it as offensive and racially insensitive.
Subsequent checks confirmed that the clip has since been removed from Trump’s Truth Social account.
