A video from the dedication, which is now circulating widely online, shows the couple walking joyfully toward the altar while carrying their baby. Family members followed behind, clapping and celebrating as the officiating minister prepared to pray for the child.
The ceremony comes barely three months after the couple welcomed their baby in November 2025, following their traditional wedding earlier in the year. The child is 2Baba’s eighth, adding another chapter to the singer’s well-known family story.
During the service, Natasha Osawaru handed the baby to the minister for prayers as members of the congregation looked on. 2Baba, dressed in a simple but elegant outfit, stood calmly beside his wife, occasionally smiling and appearing reflective throughout the ceremony.
The dedication has attracted strong reactions online, especially given the couple’s recent past. Months ago, their marriage made headlines after reports emerged that 2Baba was arrested in the United Kingdom over an alleged assault involving Natasha, sparking intense public debate about their relationship.
However, in a recent interview with journalist Seun Okinbaloye, the “African Queen” crooner addressed the issue directly and took responsibility for his actions.
“I was overwhelmed at the time, and pressure pushed me into making decisions I regret,” 2Baba said during the interview.
He also admitted that the emotional strength he once had had faded over the years, noting that fame and personal struggles had taken a toll on him.
The church dedication appears to signal a calmer, more grounded phase for the couple as they focus on family and faith.
