The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed February 20, 2027, for Nigeria’s next presidential election.
INEC Chairman, Joash Amupitan, announced the date on Friday during a press briefing in Abuja.

According to him, elections into the National Assembly will be conducted on the same day as the presidential poll, while governorship and state House of Assembly elections will take place on March 6, 2027.
Amupitan assured Nigerians that the commission is fully prepared to conduct the elections.
