The President commended Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris for infrastructural development, particularly the execution of projects and the naming of the ultramodern state secretariat. He described the governor as a team leader whose efforts have positioned the state as a growing tourism hub.

Tinubu also praised the Emir of Argungu and the Sultan of Sokoto for honouring him with their presence at the historic cultural event, noting that the fishing festival has endured for decades and remains a strong symbol of Nigeria’s rich heritage.

“We will win the war against any form of banditry in the country; farmers will return to their farms across the country,” the President stated.

He pledged federal support to Kebbi State in achieving food sufficiency, promising massive intervention in agriculture and the promotion of renewable energy to enhance electricity generation in the state.

In his welcome address, Governor Idris thanked the President for visiting Kebbi and for his continued support toward the state’s development agenda.
