Tinubu, who contacted Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for a situation report, described the incident as deeply tragic.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga stated that the President was particularly concerned because this fire comes less than two weeks after a previous blaze destroyed dozens of shops at the same market.
In response, President Tinubu has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the causes of these recurring fires, emphasizing the need to protect traders and prevent similar future incidents.
