Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Muslim faithful across the country to remember the nation in their prayers as they begin the holy month of Ramadan, calling for greater peace and prosperity for Nigeria.

In her Ramadan goodwill message released on Tuesday, the First Lady encouraged Nigerians to use the sacred period of fasting, prayer and devotion to seek divine intervention for the wellbeing of the nation.

“During this holy month of fasting and prayers, I urge us all to remember our beloved nation in prayers for greater peace and prosperity,” she said.

Senator Tinubu congratulated Muslims on the commencement of Ramadan, describing the period as a blessed season marked by spiritual renewal, deep reflection and communion with Allah.

“I felicitate with the Muslim faithful as you commence this blessed month of Ramadan,” she stated.

She further prayed that the holy month would usher in peace, joy and spiritual fulfilment for individuals, families and the country as a whole.

“I pray this holy month brings you, your family, and the nation at large peace, joy and spiritual fulfilment,”she added.

The First Lady also asked Allah to accept the prayers and supplications of the faithful and grant forgiveness throughout the fasting period.

“May Almighty Allah accept all our supplications, forgive all our sins and answer all our prayers,” she said.

She concluded her message by wishing Muslims a peaceful and rewarding Ramadan.

“Ramadan Kareem.”
