According to her, it was his character and personality that stood out, not his appearance.

“His character and personality is what I got drawn to, not him,” she said.

The actress explained that when she and Churchill first became close, romance was not on her mind. At the time, she said she was more focused on her career and simply enjoying life.

“Maybe he liked me. Am I not fine? But he never told me he liked me. It was merely me trying to do my career thing. I was using him to do enjoyment,” Meurer added, stressing that their early interactions were not romantic.

She also addressed past interviews where she had described Churchill as “not her type,” explaining that her views were shaped by her priorities at the time.

“I was never looking at his face. I was looking at his personality,” she said.

Meurer further revealed that Churchill’s appearance had changed over time, noting that he looks very different now compared to when they first met.

“His physical look then wasn’t like now. He is now an Odogwu. That time, his stomach was flat. It’s not like he wasn’t fine or handsome, but he was not somebody I would look at and say, ‘this is who I want to marry’,” she explained.

She added that back then, she had hoped to marry someone around her age and was not actively considering marriage at all.

Roseline’s comments appear aimed at clearing long-standing misconceptions about her relationship with Churchill and countering narratives that have linked her marriage to his past with Tonto Dikeh.
