Fresh attack deepens insecurity crisis in Zamfara State
Suspected bandits have killed at least 30 people in Dutsin Dan Ajiya village, Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Residents said the attackers stormed the community on motorbikes Thursday night after blocking entry and exit routes, before unleashing hours of violence on defenceless villagers.

According to eyewitness accounts, the gunmen fired sporadically and invaded homes without resistance.

About 30 bodies were recovered after the attack, while many residents remain missing. Several others were reportedly abducted, and many sustained gunshot injuries.
Zamfara and other North-West states have continued to witness deadly attacks by armed groups despite repeated government efforts to curb the violence.
