However, days later, following counter-claims from neighbours and other individuals, she admitted to social media activist VeryDarkMan that the rape story was false. She explained that she fabricated the allegation while seeking help, adding that she had been emotionally distressed following the loss of her mother.

As reactions to the confession continued to spread with several public figures, including Tacha, calling for consequences, a fresh video emerged online.

The clip shows Mirabel inside a hotel room with several young men. In the footage, the men appeared visibly excited by her presence, while Mirabel was seen laughing repeatedly, a behaviour that sparked mixed reactions among viewers.

Reports later confirmed that Mirabel has since been arrested in connection with the false allegation, as authorities continue to review the case.

Social media reactions to the video have been sharply divided, with some users criticising her actions, while others urged restraint, empathy, and due process.

The incident has renewed conversations around false allegations, online accountability, and the responsibility that comes with viral influence in Nigeria’s digital space.
