Lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has predicted that President Bola Tinubu is likely to win the 2027 presidential election, citing weak opposition as a major factor.
Posting on X on Sunday, Adeyanju clarified that he is not a member or supporter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), but highlighted signs indicating Tinubu’s advantage.

He criticized some political actors for being distracted by “social media noise” rather than engaging in substantive opposition work.

Adeyanju also commented on the National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, describing it as unfit to legislate and saying it has “taken Nigerians back to 2003” regarding election credibility.
His prediction coincides with the announcement of the FCT council election results, which saw strong performances from the APC.
