Security sources disclosed that two soldiers were confirmed killed in the confrontation, while the number of injured personnel remains unclear.
Parts of the military facility were set on fire during the raid, leading to the destruction of three operational vehicles stationed within the base.

The incident has further heightened security concerns in Adamawa, which borders Borno State, long considered the epicentre of insurgent activities in Nigeria’s North-East.
