The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced that physical and credential screening for applicants in the 50,000 police constables recruitment exercise will begin on March 9, 2026.
PSC spokesman Torty Njoku Kalu disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, noting that the screening will run until April 18, 2026 across all states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Applicants are required to check their status and print their documents from the recruitment portal before appearing at their designated screening venues.

Required documents include the guarantors form, application slip, invitation slip, and screening forms.
Candidates must also present their National Identity Number (NIN), O’Level certificate, birth certificate, and certificate of origin, along with other relevant credentials.
The Commission directed applicants to attend the screening dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.
PSC Chairman DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (retd.) assured that the recruitment process would be conducted with transparency and accountability, stressing that the exercise is completely free.
Applicants were advised to avoid fraudsters and online impostors, warning that anyone involved in recruitment scams would be arrested and prosecuted.
