The Ogun State Police Command has provided an update on Abigeal Nsikak, popularly known as Mirabel on TikTok, following the rape allegation she shared on social media.
In a statement issued on February 25, the command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said Mirabel visited the police station where she was received and taken to a medical facility for examination to verify her claims.

He noted that she has continued to cooperate with investigators as due process progresses.
According to the police, Mirabel has been released into the care of the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in consideration of her welfare and support needs.

The ministry has assured authorities that she will be made available whenever required as investigations continue.
The police assured the public that the matter is being handled with professionalism and sensitivity, urging citizens to avoid speculation while investigations are ongoing.
Mirabel became widely known online after posting a video in which she claimed she was raped by an unidentified man who allegedly invaded her home.
However, she later reportedly admitted during a discussion with social media critic VeryDarkMan that the story was fabricated, saying she was depressed and under emotional stress.
