A 43-year-old man, Lateef Suleiman, has been arrested in Sepeteri, Oyo State, for allegedly killing his 52-year-old brother, Mustapha Amidu, with a heavy rock. Suleiman claimed the deceased attacked him in a dream, prompting the violent act.
According to reports, Suleiman woke up convinced that his brother had shot him in a dream. Instead of seeking help or ignoring it, he picked up a heavy rock and struck his brother on the head while he was seated, fleeing the scene immediately. Mustapha was rushed to Ileri Oluwa Hospital, Sepeteri, but unfortunately didn’t survive.

“The suspect allegedly approached the deceased where he was seated, picked up a heavy rock, struck him on the head, and fled the scene immediately,” said DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer.
Police operatives quickly tracked Suleiman down and arrested him. He’s currently cooperating with investigators. Commissioner of Police, CP Femi Haruna, has ordered a comprehensive investigation, and the case will be handled by the State Criminal Investigation Department.
