The Accord Party has commenced a nationwide electronic registration and revalidation of its members as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the party’s National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem, said the exercise began on Tuesday in compliance with provisions of the new Electoral Act mandating political parties to maintain a digital membership register for accrediting members during congresses, primaries and conventions.

Mgbudem called on existing members, including those in the diaspora, as well as new entrants, to take advantage of the initiative to obtain updated membership cards.

He also urged members previously registered under old platforms to re-register, noting that additional information was now required.
According to him, the party’s national leadership has issued guidelines to ensure a seamless process, stressing that time was of the essence.
He tasked ward, local government, state and zonal executives to mobilise members for an extensive drive aimed at strengthening the party ahead of future elections.
Mgbudem described Accord as one of the fastest-growing political parties in Nigeria and encouraged Nigerians to unite under its platform to build a better democratic nation.
