The actor, who recently regained freedom after serving more than three years in prison over allegations involving the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, used the song to tell what he claims really happened on the day the incident occurred.

According to Baba Ijesha, the events began on April 21, 2021, when comedian Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, allegedly invited him to her house to feature in a comedy skit.

He claimed that Princess told him his favourite meal; pounded yam with lobster, bush meat and egusi soup was already prepared, adding that it had been a long time since they had seen each other.

In the song, Baba Ijesha said he quickly picked up his car keys and headed to her residence after receiving the invitation.

The actor further alleged that upon arrival, Princess informed him that he would not be playing the usual role of an elderly man but instead a younger character acting alongside a young girl. He said he agreed to the role and filming began.

However, Baba Ijesha claimed that while they were acting, several people suddenly stormed the room and began beating him.

He said he tried to explain what was happening but was not given the opportunity to speak.

The actor also recounted how he was later taken to prison and appeared in court several times. According to him, he attempted to present his side of the story but felt his explanations were repeatedly ignored.

In the song, Baba Ijesha accused Iyabo Ojo and others of allegedly working with Princess to ensure he remained in prison.

He also claimed that someone involved in the matter once vowed he would never regain his freedom.

Despite the ordeal, the actor said he eventually regained his freedom through divine intervention.

“God brought me out alive and in good health,” he said in the song.

Baba Ijesha concluded by expressing gratitude to those who supported him during his difficult period while warning that those he described as his enemies would face the consequences of their actions.

The release of the song has already generated reactions online, with many social media users debating the actor’s claims and revisiting the controversy that once dominated headlines in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
