Reacting to the development, Atiku called for a thorough and independent investigation into the attack, warning that failure to bring perpetrators to justice could encourage further violence against opposition members and their properties.
He also urged the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritise the protection of opposition figures and ensure the safety of lives and property across the country.
Atiku further noted that the incident followed a recent attack on Peter Obi and other ADC leaders in Benin City, Edo State, stressing that all such cases must be properly investigated to safeguard Nigeria’s democratic process.
