Operatives of the Department of State Services have arrested a suspected notorious commander of the Eastern Security Network, Sabastine Odo Odam, alongside a suspected member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Ejike Daniel, during an intelligence-driven operation in Enugu State.
The suspects were apprehended on Friday in Eha-Amufu and Umuhu communities within Isi-Uzo Local Government Area after months of surveillance and intelligence gathering by security operatives.

Security sources disclosed that the arrests followed a series of violent attacks on police formations and killings in the area between 2024 and 2026.
According to the sources, both suspects allegedly confessed to coordinating several attacks on police stations and stealing weapons from security facilities.
The attacks reportedly include the killing of 11 labourers on February 26 as well as the murder of five policemen between December 24, 2025, and January 26, 2026.
Residents of Isi-Uzo LGA expressed relief following the arrests, saying the development could help restore peace to the troubled communities.
The suspects are currently in custody of the Department of State Services and are expected to be arraigned in court soon.
