The suspect is accused of orchestrating violent attacks that resulted in the deaths of 11 labourers and five police officers in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area.
During the operation, DSS operatives also arrested Ejike Daniel, who is believed to be affiliated with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The intelligence-led operation took place on March 6 in Eha-Amufu and Umuhu, communities that have experienced repeated security incidents in recent months.
According to security sources, the arrests followed months of surveillance and intelligence gathering into the suspects’ alleged roles in attacks targeting police formations.
Investigators say the suspects are believed to have been involved in raids on police stations, during which weapons were reportedly stolen and later used in subsequent attacks.
Sources also claimed that the suspects confessed to participating in several violent incidents, including the February 26 attack that led to the killing of 11 labourers.
They were also allegedly linked to the murder of five police officers in separate attacks carried out between December 24, 2025, and January 26, 2026.
Residents of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area have welcomed the development, expressing hope that the arrests will help restore peace to communities affected by repeated violence.
Both suspects are currently being held by the Department of State Services and are expected to be arraigned in court soon.
