President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with service chiefs in Abuja amid growing attacks on security personnel and military formations across Nigeria.

The development was disclosed in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his verified X handle.

The meeting comes barely a day after the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, held discussions with the service chiefs over the worsening security situation in the country.

According to reports, the service chiefs and the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, arrived at the Presidential Villa without their official vehicles.
