Bandits have attacked Jikamshi village in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing three people and injuring 11 others.
The attack occurred on Wednesday evening shortly before residents broke their Ramadan fast.

Residents said the gunmen stormed the community, firing sporadically and forcing villagers to flee to safety.
A community leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the attackers operated in the village for more than an hour before security forces arrived.
“They came shortly before people broke their fast and stayed for about an hour and some minutes, moving through the streets and shooting,” the source said.
The source described the incident as shocking, noting that residents were caught unprepared for the attack.

A video reportedly recorded by a resident during the incident has since been circulating on social media.
Following the attack, local authorities held an emergency security meeting to discuss measures aimed at preventing further attacks in the area.
The chairman of the local government council was said to have cancelled an official engagement outside the area and returned to coordinate the response.
According to the community leader, the council chairman also ensured that all injured victims received medical attention, including those referred to hospitals in Katsina.
