In a statement released on Saturday, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, said the alleged announcement contradicts the party’s ongoing efforts to reconcile aggrieved members and strengthen internal unity.
According to him, any attempt to dissolve the state executive committees at this time could worsen existing tensions within the party structure at both state and national levels.
The party further clarified that the document circulating online regarding the PDP state exco dissolution is invalid and has no legal standing within the party.
The PDP therefore directed its state chapters, including officials at local government and ward levels, to disregard the notice and continue carrying out their official duties.
It added that its current reconciliation drive is aimed at restoring cohesion within the party and preparing its structures for upcoming electoral contests.
