According to security analyst Bakatsine, residents have been leaving the village in groups despite the ongoing Ramadan fasting period observed by many Muslims in the community.
“Note that the residents are fleeing because almost on a daily basis armed bandits will attack their community killing and kidnapping countless persons,” Bakatsine stated.
Residents were reportedly seen packing their belongings into vehicles and departing the community in search of safer locations.

Mass Displacement
A video circulating on social media shows large numbers of villagers leaving the area as fear spreads among residents.
Families were observed relocating from the village with their possessions, highlighting the growing humanitarian impact of the attacks.
Local sources linked the displacement to repeated killings and kidnappings allegedly carried out by armed groups loyal to Turji.
The incident underscores the persistent banditry crisis affecting communities in northwestern Nigeria, where many villages have faced repeated attacks, abductions, and forced displacement.
Residents are now calling for stronger security intervention to restore peace and enable them to return to their homes safely.
