President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared that Nigeria is transitioning from a period of survival to one of stability, gradually moving toward prosperity, during his address at the 4th Elective National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Friday.
Highlighting his administration’s achievements, Tinubu stressed that government programmes are “real, visible, feasible, impactful, measurable, and not mere rhetoric,” countering claims by opposition critics.

“We are moving from survival mode to stability and steadily towards an era of prosperity,” he said, reflecting on testimonials from beneficiaries of various initiatives.
Addressing young Nigerians, the president emphasised their critical role in national development: “Your creativity, innovation, digital fluency, enterprising spirit, and courage are our greatest national assets.”
Tinubu urged the APC to expand opportunities for youth participation, stressing that they should be involved as decision-makers rather than symbolic figures.
“This party must nurture a generation of young progressives who are not only politically active but intellectually grounded, morally disciplined, and nationally committed. The future we seek cannot be built without you at its centre,” he said.
The president’s speech signals a continued focus on youth empowerment and the consolidation of APC’s developmental agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.
