The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has explained that some hackers gained access into it’s intranet site and diverted over N10m after altering the profiles of its ad hoc staff.

Oloyede stated that failure on the part of the accounting department to cross-check the names on the accounts to ensure that they tallied with those listed on the website or owners of the codes led to the fraud.

He revealed that the ad hoc staff of have long been paid their allowances, but gave an assurance that the stolen money would be recovered.
