The Personal Assistant Media and Student Affairs to the Executive Director Planning and Research, DESOPADEC, Comr Ayoromiegha Welemu Jnr has described his boss, Comrade Shedrack Agediga as an ‘institution.’
The erstwhile Chairman of the Delta Ijaw Comrade Community stated this in a birthday message titled ‘Celebrating a Peace, Conflict resolution and Leadership Institution; Comr (Dr)Shedrack Agediga (Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, PRS DESOPADEC)” on Thursday.
In marking the birth anniversary of the revered peace and humanitarian advocate, Welemu wrote;
Dear Boss,
You have been an Efficient , Effective and Benevolent servant leader and peace expert, who has continually contributed and influenced my overall knowledge , tact and leadership experience in ways I never envisaged.
Your Deep experience in mentorship and support of many now successful individuals across Ijaw nation, Delta state and Nigeria, have overtime become an institution for teeming youths in leadership and humanity services to thrive.
No little wonder the late Leila Janah summed it up by saying, “Talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not.”
Thank you for caring for me and the legions of youths that your support has enabled to flourish with limited opportunities.
As you continue to orchestrate leadership development access for all youth who are willing and ensuring that everyone has a voice in problem-solving and decision-making, know that I and others will continually appreciate the platform of Development that you have created for us and will surely follow your footsteps, like many Generations that will follow your Beam of Light.
Thank you for guiding so many young people in practice of developing their leadership skills in a safe place that only a skilled Conflict resolution expert and an administrative Guru can provide.
