Video: 9-year-old Caught on CCTV Setting Ebeano Supermarket on Fire in Abuja

A young girl has been apprehended for starting the fire that engulfed the popular Ebeano Supermarket in Abuja.

The Ebeano supermarket located in Lokogoma area of Abuja was consumed by fire on Saturday, July 17, 2021.

Source of the inferno could not be ascertained as at when the incident occured.

However, a CCTV footage has revealed a young girl was responsible for the fire that razed the multi-million Naira shopping mall all night and well into the early hours of the next day.

The young lady wearing a black T-Shirt and a pair of jeans, could be seen walking down the aisle where books, lighters and gas cylinders were stocked up on the shelves.

She proceeded to light up the fire that would go on to engulf the entire building, and vanished out of sight.

According to sources, the suspect who has been apprehended is very much a child around 9 years of age.

However, investigations have been opened to unravel her motives behind setting the Ebeano Supermarket on fire.
