Princewill Ekwujuru is dead

The Chairman of the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN), Princewill Ekwujuru has died.

The late journalist who was a staff of Vanguard Newspaper until his death, died at the Navy Hospital in Ojo, Lagos, after battling survival for about three weeks.

Princewill Ekwujuru had undergone a brain surgery following motorcycle accident along the Badagry road in Lagos.

Following his demise, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) expressed sadness over it’s member.

Secretary of the Lagos Council, Tunde Olalere prayed God to comfort the family of the late journalist and also forgive his shortcomings.

“He was a hard-working personality that believed in equality and equity. May his soul find rest with God Almighty”, Olalere said.

The remains of Princewill Ekwujuru will be laid to rest in his home town, Njaba in Imo State, on September 2, 2021.
