Religious People in Nigeria
A man has lauded the Yorubas domiciled in the South-West of Nigeria as the most tolerant religious people in the country.
The man identified as Azuka Brown Ojugbeli made the declaration upon attending a marriage ceremony in the Southwest between a Christian groom and a Muslim bride.

Brown who took to his Facebook timeline to share his experience, stated he had never witnessed a ceremony where different religious groups accept put away their differences in the name of love.
The article titled “TOLERANCE BREEDS PEACE” reads;
So today I attended a traditional wedding between a Christian Groom and a Muslim Bride somewhere in South West Nigeria.
I saw something very unique; both the Christian families of the groom were dancing and rejoicing to Islamic songs and recitations from the Quran raised by the MC of the Occasion and the same thing happened when she (the MC) raised Christian songs, the Muslim family members threw caution to the wind as they danced in frenzy to Christian songs raised and responded to the shout of Praise the Lord and Bible recitations.
With what I saw today and with my dealings with South Westerners, I can boldly say our brothers and sisters from the South West Nigeria are the most religious tolerant people we have in Nigeria.
Every other region of Nigeria must emulate this scarce culture of the “Yorubas” if we really want the peace we preach in our dear country Nigeria.
God created humans as one, we must not allow Religion to divide us. Whether you are a Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu or a Traditionalist we are all Children of the most High God.
Tolerance breeds Peace and Peace is Priceless!
