The state commissioner of police, CP Sama’ila Dikko has directed that the suspected killer be subjected to medical test to ascertain his mental fitness.

Dikko also ordered a transfer of the case to the state CID’s homicides section, to enable them conduct discrete investigation into the matter.

Kiyawa said;

“There was misunderstanding between the two officers and as a result, the Inspector fired a shot at the Sergeant.

“On our preliminary investigations, the said Inspector said he didn’t even know how he shot his colleague and he could remember that the deceased was laughing at him. So he was out of his sense and committed this act.”
